Education

Since 2007, I have taught courses at university departments. I completed my University Teaching Qualification in 2015. I have taught at the bachelor and master level; I have taught political science theory, political philosophy and political science methods; I have taught both political science students and students from related disciplines such as Public Administration, Law and Sociology. As a teacher I excel when I can give students and their research individual attention, for instance in the thesis seminars I run at Leiden University. In my lectures I emphasize active student participation, teaching through dialogue and projects where students simulate political decision-making so that they learn to apply political concepts in realistic situations.
